My Journey into the Crafting World

Hi I'm Lisa, firstly a huge welcome to my blog.

I am a single parent of 2 children, the oldest has recently flown the nest and begun settling into her new home, my youngest is of college age and grows more independent each day.

For as long as I can remember I have dabbled with crafting but 4 years ago I waved goodbye to my 10 year career in local government, (by way of redundancy) and walked straight towards a life of disability as a result of a spinal injury.

Crafting became a daily occurrence, keeping my brain active, aiding my recovery and more importantly allowed me to meet like minded crafters and build very special friendships.

The process of creating something fills me with excitement whilst attempting something new often floods me with nervous anticipation. The end result always brings joy to my life.

I love learning, whether from another blogger, a crafting friend, you tube or an exhibition demonstration or countless other resources available to us all.

The analogy that children are like sponges, continuously absorbing information also

applies to adults and I would definitely consider myself this way.

I hope you enjoy my journey and my advice, BE A SPONGE let crafting flow and no attempt is ever wasted.
