Depth and Prospective in a design

Well my fortnightly design team challenge for Through the Craft Room Door has come around fast. I love any opportunity to utilise my chosen images to create a card with interesting folds and layers.

My chosen image for this week is from our sponsor Createful Heart and the image, Princess Annabelle was so beautiful I couldn't resist it.

The delicate sitting pose of the child gave rise to pull the ground under her into a 3 dimensional card and by simply scoring the design at the appropriate point she appears to jump out of the card.

Using 2 tent fold cards the front pulls down and the back opens up as a normal tent card would.

The ground and the sky were created by blending Tim Holtz Distress Inks: Mowed Lawn, Twisted Citron, Lucky Clover, Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean

The Blanket was made by using a piece of card with a faded mix of pinks then embossed with a Tattered Lace embossing folder from Issue 90 of there monthly magazine.

The stamps came from a number of monthly craft magazines; Issue 185 of Paper Craft Essentials, Issue 90 of Papercraft Inspirations, Issue 169 of Cardmaking and Papercraft and Issue 82 of Creative Stamping.

Princess Annabelle was coloured using Spectrum Noir Original Alcohol Markers; OR2, CT2-4, GB5, LY2, FS1-2, PL3, CR3 and AG2
